Needle Turn Applique Class Thursday August 20th 12:30- 3:30 pm
Instructor: Cherie Troester Class fee: $15 Pattern: $8 Use your scraps or fat quarters to learn this hand applique needle turn technique. There are 12 different applique designs (5 shown in sample) from which to choose.The finished project can be made into a wall hanging or pillow cover.
Make a crib size quilt from start to finish!
This class will introduce you to quilting by machine and rotary cutting. You will learn tips and tricks, beginning with choosing fabrics, to make your quilting journey a successful one. Eight 2-hour sessions every Saturday from 10:30am - 12:30pm, starting on Saturday, September 12th. What Else Are You Making?
Now that the shop is open, quilters have been bring in their "quarantine" creations to share. Below is Carol Moll's beautiful Iris Wall Hanging!
The time window to submit a quilt for a prize is NOW to October 15th.
Quilters Trek is a new color-guided shopping adventure for quilters! The color theme this year is True Blue. This means the participating shops will be offering blocks made with predominantly blue fabric. This allows quilters to create quilts that are more pleasing and cohesive.
Each shop will create four 9" blocks that can be arrange in a row or as an 18" square.
Shops will have kits for sale, but the block pattern is free. If you cannot travel to a participating shop to purchase a kit, kits with the pattern will be sold by phone order and shipped to you.The free "stand alone" pattern will still be available in-store ONLY during the event.
The Quilted Crow's blocks arranged into an 18" square. Quilters must complete a quilt (quilted, bound, labeled) using 32 nine-inch block designs from at least 8 participating shops, which means 4 blocks from each shop. Each shop will offer a prize of 15 fat quarters plus a bonus prize if the quilt includes the shop’s blocks to 2 different quilters!
