New in the shop this week:
~The "Harvest Gold" Collection Designed by Kanvas Studio for Benartex  As summer fades, the leaves turn into incredible shades of gold and rust. It’s the beginning of the Harvest season, and the inspiration for our Harvest Gold collection. We’ve hand-painted Autumn flowers, leaves and pears, and then added subtle touches of metallic gold. A true celebration of a special season, and fabrics that are also works of art.   ~"Goddess Sheet" Fusing Sheet~ from Attached Inc. The nonstick thermal sheet that reminds you which side is up!  The Goddess Sheet is sure to become your indispensable fusing tool. This transparent 16 1/2" x 10 3/4" Teflon® coated non-stick fiberglass sheet speeds ironing time and puts a helpful glossy sheen on fused surfaces. It is a reliable guide to accident-free fusing. ~4th of July Patterns and Kits now available!~ By popular demand, these patriotic banners are back in the shop. There is plenty of time to complete these projects for the 4th of July holiday!  Quilt as you go Patriotic Banner  Tumbling Glory Wall Hanging  Our patriotic fabric selection  ~Free-motion Exercises Classes~ Instructor: Cherie Troester ***Please note that the times for these classes have been changed to accommodate the library's summer hours.*** Back by popular demand, this time on consecutive Saturdays! Learn how to do many basic machine free-motion quilting patterns shown below in 2 fun sessions.  Class #1 shown above is called "The Road to Stippling." You will learn how to sew cursive, paisley, ripples, wood grain, echo, enhance a print and stipple quilting.  Class #2 shown above is called "The Road to Pebble Stitching." You will learn how to sew string of pearls, lights, stars, spirals, 3's and E's, floral and pebble quilting. Class Dates: Class 1: Saturday, August 3rd, 10:30pm - 1pm Class 2: Saturday, August 10th, 10:30pm - 1pm Class Fee: $20 each OR $35 if you take both classes. Supply lists will be available upon class registration and students must supply their own muslin quilt sandwich squares. Both classes will be held at the Palmerton Library, located across the street from the shop, in the upper floor Gallery. Elevator access to the upper floor is available. To register, you can click on Class 1 and/or Class 2 above to sign up online. You may also sign up over the phone by calling the shop at (610)900-4700. Please note that if you register for both classes online, you will be charged $20 for each and will receive an immediate $5 refund after we process your order. ~12 Block Tee Shirt Quilt~ Instructor: Sandra Darlington ***Please note that the time for the second class session has been changed to accommodate the library's summer hours.*** For all those tee shirts your can't part with, learn how to turn them into a quilt!   Date: This is a 2-session class which will be held on consecutive Saturdays. Session 1 will be held at the shop and Session 2 will be held at the Palmerton Library located across the street from the shop. Session One (in-store): Saturday, August 17th, 10:30am - Noon Session Two (at library): Saturday, August 24th, 10:30am - 1pm Class Fee for both sessions: $30 A complete supply list will be provided upon class registration. Sewing machine and rotary cutting skills are required. It is also recommended that you bring your lunch to Session Two. If the fabric is delivered as promised, we should be able to fill block kit ordersby the beginning of July. ***We are taking advance orders for our block kit shown below. If you'd like to reserve one, please call the shop us at (610)900-4700!***   Sewcial Guild -The next scheduled meeting will be on Thursday, June 27th at 12pm (please note the later noon start time for the June meeting). The guild meets in the upper floor Gallery of the Palmerton Library, across the street from the Shop. Elevator access to the upper floor is available. Quilts of Valor - The next scheduled meeting at the Crow will be on Thursday, June 27th at 3pm. Crow Sew - The next scheduled meeting at the Crow will now be on Wednesday, July 3rd at 10am. ***As always, we'd like to remind you that groups and guilds are a great way to make new friends!
