 ~Sunflower or Purple Coneflower Wall Hanging~ Instructor and Designer: Maryann Templin NOTE: Kits are now available in the shop for both of these projects. The Kits include the required pattern, fabric, quilter’s grid paper, appliqué paper, and binding (backing fabric not included). The only required pre-work for the class is to cut squares from the included fabric strips in each kit. Don't miss out on the chance to create one of these stunning wall hangings!  (12.5" x 26.5")  (24" x 31") "This project is a modern watercolor using an assortment of batiks. We’ll play with color and shading to make the background and then fuse it all onto a gridded interfacing prior to sewing. The sunflower or coneflowers are also fused in place for an easy appliqué project. The pattern also includes optional borders if you’d like a larger wall hanging." Date: Saturday, May 11th, 10:30am - 3:30pm at the Palmerton Library across the street from the shop Class Fee: $30 + plus Sunflower Kit ($32) OR Coneflower kit ($40) Sewing machine and rotary cutting skills are required. It is also recommended that you bring your lunch. To celebrate the 10 year anniversary of Stonehenge Fabrics, Northcott is sponsoring 3 contests this year: The International Block Party Solstice Panel Quilt Challenge Traveling Stonehenge Quilt Display (Click on any link above for more information about that event) We have also prepared a document explaining all three contests in detail and a .PDF version may be downloaded HERE. Sewcial Guild -The next scheduled meeting will be on Thursday, May 23rd at 11am. The guild meets in the upper floor Gallery of the Palmerton Library, across the street from the Shop. Elevator access to the upper floor is available.
