New in the shop this week: ~100% Beeswax Gem Thread Conditioner~ by Posey Handmade  Made from 100% pure beeswax, these cute little gems will help keep your hand-stitching thread from tangling and help your thread to glide through the material easier. Each gem comes in a little zip lock baggie for safekeeping as well as a handy metal tin. ~Warm & Plush 90" Wide 100% Cotton Batting~ Warm & Plush is the warmest natural batting ever manufactured; it has no scrim, just 50% more soft, warm cotton fibers! Please note that while there are many storage pockets inside this bag which may seem intimidating to create, this is not a difficult project to complete and much of the work is cutting the strips!  NOTE: This is a 2-part class on consecutive Saturdays and will be held at the Palmerton Library located across the street from the shop. Class Dates: Session ONE: Saturday, February 16th, 10:30am - 3:30pm Session TWO: Saturday, February 23rdth, 10:30am – 3:30pm Class Fee: $50 (includes both sessions) + Pattern ($12) + Fabric Pre-work is required and will be provided upon class registration. Eight 2-hour sessions held on alternate Fridays OR Saturdays from 10:30am - 12:30pm, starting on Friday, March 1st and Saturday, March 2nd.  This class will introduce you to quilting by machine and rotary cutting. You will learn tips and tricks, beginning with choosing fabrics, to make your quilting journey a successful one. Instructor: Cherie Troester For those of you who have graduated from Cherie Troester ‘s Free Motion classes, or if you quilt with free motion techniques and want to learn how to make feathers and use stencils, this class is for you!  This is a two-session course. In Class One you will learn how to plot and plan your feathers. In Class Two you will learn to quilt your design. Class One Date: Friday, March 1st, 12:30pm - 3:30pm (Class One can be taken alone, but it is a pre-requisite for taking class two.) Class Two Date: Friday, March 8th, 12:30pm - 3:30pm Class Fee: $20 per class Please note that there is pre-work required. A Class Supply List will be provided to each student upon registration. If you'd like to sign up for Class One only, please call the shop at (610)900-4700. ~Crazy 4 Patches or Crazy 9 Patches~ Instructor: Jody Beck NOTE: Due to the recent snow, this class has been rescheduled for Wednesday, March 20th. Make either 4 Patch blocks or 9 Patch blocks, then stack and slash them using Jody’s technique to make quick and easy quilts.  (Crazy 4 Patch)  (Crazy 9 Patch) This technique is a great way to use your fabric stash! The patterns feature this fun, new look in many sizes, and takes quilts from plain to amazing! The guild meets in the upper floor Gallery of the Palmerton Library, across the street from the Shop. Elevator access to the upper floor is available. Quilts of Valor - The next scheduled meeting at the Crow will be on Thursday, February 28th at 2pm. ***As always, we'd like to remind you that groups and guilds are a great way to make new friends!
