10/25/18 - Two new Holiday kits in the shop now!
New in the shop this week:
~Woodland Dream Nativity Quilt Kits~  (click the image to view a larger version) Kits are available in the shop now to create this great quilt for the holidays (45" x 68") which features the panel and coordinating fabrics from our Woodland Dream collection, ~Woodland Dream Placemats & Trivets Kits~  (click the image to view a larger version) Create these adorable Placemats and Trivets for your Christmas holidays. The kit includes the fabrics, backing, binding and Insul-Bright batting required to make four 14" x 19" Placements and two 8" x 11" Trivets. Beginning in November, the Sewcial Guild will once again be offering Christmas Ornaments and small gift bags for sale at the Crow. All donations collected from these items will be donated to Family Promise.  (click to view a larger image) Date: Thursday, November 8th, 12:30pm - 4:30 at the Palmerton Library across the street from the shop Class Fee: $25 + Pattern ($8) + Fabric To sign up, please call the shop at (610)900-4700 or click HERE to register online. ~Free-motion Exercises Classes~ Instructor: Cherie Troester Due to popular demand, this is the fifth time we'll be offering these two Free-motion classes, on consecutive Tuesdays this time. For those of you who were interested but couldn't make prior weekend classes, this one's for you! Learn how to do many basic machine free-motion quilting patterns shown below in 2 fun sessions!  Class #1 (top half of above picture) is called "The Road to Stippling." You will learn how to sew cursive, paisley, ripples, wood grain, echo, enhance a print and stipple quilting. Class #2 (bottom half of above picture) is called "The Road to Pebble Stitching." You will learn how to sew string of pearls, lights, stars, spirals, 3's and E's, floral and pebble quilting. Class Dates: Class 1: Tuesday, November 20th, 12:30pm - 3:30pm Class 2: Tuesday, November 27th, 12:30pm - 3:30pm Both classes will be held at the Palmerton Library, located across the street from the shop, in the upper floor Gallery. Elevator access is available to the upper floor. Class Fee: $20 each OR $35 if you take both classes. Students must supply their own muslin quilt sandwich squares. Supply lists will be available upon class registration. To register, you can click on Class 1 and/or Class 2 above to sign up online. You may also sign up over the phone by calling the shop at (610)900-4700. Please note that if you register for both classes online, you will be charged $20 for each and will receive an immediate $5 refund after we process your order.  Now is the time to get those scissors sharpened so you'll be ready for your fall projects! How it works: Steve Hansut will be picking up scissors at the shop on Fridays and dropping them off on Friday of the following week. Pricing will be as follows: Scissors with up to a 4-inch blade: $5.00 Dressmaker & Medium Scissors: $7.00 Please note: Payment is cash-only, due at pickup. Please note that some scissors can't be sharpened because of specific metal content and/or structural problems and all sharpening will be at Steve's discretion. If your scissors are unable to be sharpened, they will be returned at no cost to you. Scissors must be dropped off at the shop by 5pm on Fridays. ~Row by Row 2018~ NOTE: Between now and November 1st, patterns and kits may be sold in-store only and can not be shipped.  The Quilted Crow is still participating in the Row by Row event and our 2018 row shown above is entitled "Sew Jazzy." Patterns are available now in the shop only for $8 and Row Kits are also available for $18. ~Jackie's Woolens Open House~ Jackie's Woolens is having an OPEN HOUSE on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, November 1, 2, and 3, 2018 from 10am to 4pm each day. There will be lots of hand dyed wool, Valdani thread, kits, books, and patterns. All patterns and bundles will be 20% off.  Crow Sew - Due to the upcoming Shop Hop, the meeting scheduled for Wednesday, November 7th, has been cancelled. The next scheduled meeting at the Crow will now be on Wednesday, November 21st at 10am.
Sewcial Guild -The next scheduled meeting will be on Thursday, November 29th, 2018 at 11am. The guild meets in the upper floor Gallery of the Palmerton Library, across the street from the Shop. Elevator access to the upper floor is available. Quilts of Valor - The next scheduled meeting at the Crow will be on Thursday, November 29th, 2018 at 2pm. ***As always, we'd like to remind you that groups and guilds are a great way to make new friends!
