Palmerton Area Library
11th Annual Quilt Show
 Date and time: Sunday, October 15th from Noon - 4pm
Donation: $5Be sure to visit downtown Palmerton on Sunday, October 15th for the annual quilt show where many beautiful quilts will be on display! There will also be door prizes, a basket auction and a "Best of Show" prize for the best quilt.
The Quilted Crow, which is located directly across the street from the Library, will have special Sunday hours on the 15th and will be open from noon until 4pm, so please be sure to stop by and say hello!

NEW! Button-Stitch Appliqué Class NEW!
Instructor: Carol Masi
In this class you will be making the Winter Rose table runner from Pat Sloan’s "Appliqué a Garden" book. The finished size is approximately 15” x 30”. You will learn how to cut the appliqué pieces, correctly apply them to the table runner, and secure the pieces with a hand-sewn blanket stitch. ~Floating Bargello Wall Hanging~Instructor: Cherie TroesterMake this beautiful, easy 24 1/2" x 45 1/2" wall hanging in three color ways, chocolate, teal, or purple!
  This quilt is much easier to create than it appears! If you can sew nine 2-inch strips of fabric together, you can make this wall hanging! It is a beautiful project in either of the color ways. The shop has Chocolate, Teal and Purple ombre' as well as coordinating fabrics for sale. Take 10% off your class fabrics when you sign up for the class!
Due to the amount of work space needed for each student this class will be held at the Palmerton Library, located across the street from the shop, in the upper floor Gallery. Elevator access is available to the upper floor.

Quilting Workshops at the Crow
Instructor: Cindy-Mengel Smith
This is a series of four one-hour workshops designed for the confident beginner quilter, who has made at least one quilt. Date: All 4 workshops will be held on Saturday, October 14th, from 10am - 4pm, as follows:
Workshop 1: 4 flying geese at once - 10:30am to 11:30am
Workshop 2: 8 half square triangles (HST) at once - 12noon to 1pm
Workshop 3: 2 nine patch blocks at once that are reverse images of one another - 1:30pm to 2:30 pm
Workshop 4: Easy binding technique, no rulers required – 3pm to 4pm.
The cost for each individual workshop is $10 or you can save $10 by taking all 4 for $30!

~Chenille Pumpkin Rag Quilt~
Instructor: Cindy-Mengel SmithThis great fall lap quilt is made from homespun fabrics.

In the first class you will make the rag quilt consisting of diamond rag blocks, and the base blocks for the pumpkins. In the second class you will make the chenille pumpkins to applique onto your rag quilt.
Please note that this class will be held on TWO consecutive Fridays at the Crow, October 20th and October 27th, and the class fee below covers BOTH sessions.
Date(s): Friday, October 20th and Friday, October 27th, both from 1pm-4pm.
Class Fee: $30 + Pattern ($7) + Materials

Crow Sew - The next scheduled meeting at the Crow will be onWednesday, October 11th at 10am.Sewcial Guild - The next scheduled meeting will be on Thursday, October 26th, from 11am - 2pm. The guild meets in the upper floor Gallery of the Palmerton Library, across the street from the Shop.
