~Log Cabin Purse~
Instructor: Karen WhiselLearn a how to make a log cabin block and purse at the same time! The finished purse size is 9” x 13”Date: Saturday, August 19th, 1pm - 4pm

Learn how to do many basic machine free-motion quilting patterns shown below in 2 sessions.
Class #1 is called "The Road to Stippling." You will learn how to sew cursive, paisley, ripples, wood grain, echo, enhance a print and stipple quilting.
Class #2 is called "The Road to Pebble Stitching." You will learn how to sew string of pearls, lights, stars, spirals, 3's and E's, floral and pebble quilting.
Date: Friday, August 25th at the Palmerton Library, Upper Floor
Class #1: 10am - Noon
Class #2: 1pm - 3pm
Class Fee: $15 each OR $25 if you take both classes. Students must supply their own muslin quilt sandwich squares.

~Beginning Quilting by Machine - Fall 2017~
Instructor: Cindy Mengel-Smith
Make either a crib or lap size quilt from start to finish!
Eight 2-hour sessions held on alternate Fridays OR Saturdays from 10:30am - 12:30pm, starting on Friday, September 15th or Saturday, September 16th.
This class will introduce you to quilting by machine and rotary cutting. You will learn tips and tricks, beginning with choosing fabrics, to make your quilting journey a successful one.
Class Fee: $75 for complete 8-session cycle + $15 Class Notebook + Materials

Sewcial Guild - The next scheduled meeting will be on Thursday, July 27th at Noon - 3pm, please note the special start time for the July meeting only! The guild meets in the upper floor Gallery of the Palmerton Library, across the street from the Shop. ~Annual Palmerton Sidewalk Sale~As usual, multiple businesses will set up shop throughout several blocks of Delaware Avenue in beautiful downtown Palmerton. Join us for our Sidewalk Sale which will take place on Thursday, August 3rd through Saturday, August 5th, during normal business hours. More details next week!
